I had a great time trying authentic Javanese cuisine at Far East Plaza. The nasi kuning was fragrant and flavorful, the mie goreng perfectly stir-fried, and the ayam penyet was crispy and tender with a spicy kick. The bakwan jagung added a nice crunch to the meal. A hidden gem for anyone craving Indonesian food!

If you have been craving for Authentic Halal Indonesian Cuisine, you should consider them, they are locating at far east plaza. Me and my girl visited there and they have wide range of dishes that all look so good; these were what we ordered; ➡️GADO GADO - Indonesian Salad served with Fried Tofu and Tempeh, Rice Cake, Crackers and Homemade Peanut Dressing, first time eating this, surprisingly this tastes great for appetiser. ➡️SAYUR ASEM - Indonesian Mixed Vegetable Sweet & Sour Soup 🥣 super nice, great if you need some spice to stimulate the appetite. ➡️PERKEDEL - Homemade Mash Potato Balls Seasoned with Herbs & Spices, this is my girl favourite. ➡️BAKWAN JAGUNG - Crunchy, Sweet & Savoury Fried Corn Fritters - wow this is really crispy, love it when they served it hot! ➡️AVAM PENYET - Deep Fried Marinated Chicken served with Pondok’s Sambal Belacan, this is must try, love their chicken tender and crispy. ➡️IKAN NILA - Fried Red Talapia Fish Served with Pondok’s Sambal Belacan & Sweet Sauce, A Seafood Lover’s Paradise, this is my favourite, the fish is freshly fried and the meat is so tender. I enjoyed every single things! Last but not least not forgetting the dessert; ES TELER, it is a Refreshing Indonesian Dessert Topped with Jackfruit, Coconut & Avocado Drenched in Our Homemade Jackfruit Syrup, after a heavy meal, eating this will refresh our taste buds and the fruit is fresh and delicious. Both of us enjoyed so much! They have other wonderful delicious dishes, which we will come back again. Definitely 💯

Authentic Jawa Timur food. I missed Surabaya and Malang food. Portion is small need to order more if u big eaters. But the taste definitely brings back memories. Lady boss very attentive unlike her staffs. She had to keep guiding the staffs. She should not be doing the ground work. But very kind lady. Will come again to try other dishes.

Remembered having this before but somehow didn’t see my review so we decided to come by again for dinner since we are in the area. Ayam penyet was the better of the two that we ordered, the grilled variant seems a little mushy somehow and I didn’t enjoy the sauce. 💵 it is also a little pricey for the quantity, either rice coming in at $1.50 (not included with the chicken) - guessing it had to do with their location. Not our favourite for the quality, quantity or value.

The chili is super good but everything else is just slightly average taste, nothing fantastic and portion is small. Not worth the service charge and gst and failed in my expectation for the price point paid. I think for cheaper pricing and better quality you can find in another shop elsewhere in Orchard. It’s no wonder every dining on the same floor is full except for this place. Probably my 1st and last time dining there unless there’s unforeseen circumstances.
