We decided to give the briyani a try after watching the viral video of an aunty who was ordering briyani in the midst of the squall episode on 17 Sep evening in front of Hillion mall food booth. Came on one of the evenings disappointed that Chicken Malasa sold out. Suggest that staff should take the initiative to display waiting time or what's available so that customers do not have to waste time queuing. So we went again on the last day at 12 noon. OMG the long Q was already forming. Staff was very nice to serve customers with a drink while waiting under the hot scorching sun. Thank you for the great gesture. Sadaqah on a Friday is truly rewarding. Briyani no doubt the best for the promo price. The staff reassured that the briyani is not dry, moist enough without the dalca. Chicken a bit tough must cook longer ok. But really nice even without the dalca. Impressed. Thumbs up! 👍👍

Tried the mutton biryani. The mutton doesn’t seem fresh but the biryani was really good.

Repeat customer of Ajmir and they never fail to deliver when it comes to excellent taste of the briyani. The masala was too good.

I recently had the pleasure of trying Ajmir Biryani at Yishun’s Pasar Malam, and it was a delightful experience. I sampled both the lamb shank and chicken biryani, and I was thoroughly impressed. The long grain rice was perfectly cooked, with each grain distinct and flavorful. The lamb shank was exceptionally tender and juicy, making every bite a joy. The chicken was equally delicious, marinated and cooked to perfection with a satisfying level of spiciness that added a wonderful kick. One of the highlights was the curry gravy. Thick and full of flavor, it complemented both the lamb and chicken beautifully. The addition of achar provided a refreshing contrast, balancing the richness of the biryani with its tangy and crunchy texture. Overall, Ajmir Biryani offers a well-rounded and satisfying meal, with each element enhancing the others. If you’re at Yishun’s Pasar Malam, I highly recommend giving it a try!

Update Went to try mutton biryani plus achar since i feel there is no vege. $9 plus $3 and admin fee for a total of $12.24. *You can actually buy from 9.30am without ordering online so early bird may consider doing that instead of following the delivery time* So i figured that the small container isn't chili. It is actually achar hence sweet. Rice was good mutton can be more tender but fats is flavorful. Curry wise i tasted better. ~~~~~~~ Ordered online chicken tight biryani for $8.61 and went to collect it on Sunday at around 11am. It was quite fast. Reached home 30min later to consume it. Not the spiciest the small container of chili was more sweet than anything. Rice and curry was great. Rice was individualized while curry is flavorful. Chicken thigh was large but kinda disappointing. It wasn't tender and kind of dry. Maybe that is a take away issue. But they only provide take away. Doesn't come with any vege so you might consider add on. Though they only have acar at $3 per pop. Definitely better than average biryani with well definite rice and flavorful curry. While chicken thigh is huge and rice is plentiful which honestly is a norm but it does cost more and lacks vege.
